Available with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) the new models will have a long wheelbase and range in horsepower from 185 to 240. Like the new MAXXUMS released earlier in the year, the TIER 5 PUMAS will have the same new stylish hood and shape that Case IH is bringing in.
Not only does it include the latest technology and development in engine performance and emission solutions, but will also include all the bells and whistles of an upgraded deluxe model from luxury leather seats to latest in-cab features including large Pro 700 touchscreen.
Engine and transmission oil service intervals have been considerably extended to industry-leading hours which results in fewer oil and filter changes and cost saving benefits.
The highly anticipated TIER 5 PUMA SERIES will be arriving in Mackay in the next couple of weeks. The standard Tier 3 models of the Puma series will still be available for some time yet for the more budget conscience customers.
New front axle suspension improvements include reactive steering which enables the wheels to automatically return to a straight position after turning providing more ease of use for operators. Adaptive steering control for both field and road operations is available as an option.
In these new Puma models, there's improved acceleration and deceleration, better shuttle behaviour, as well as drive pedal sensitivity, cruise control override, better multi-controller sensitivity, and position detection.
Other features include:
- Optional hood-mounted camera;
- Fully integrated front hitch is optional, with increased linkage travel and front wheel clearance;
- Upgraded road and work lights, including hood work light options, as featured on Case IH Optum and Magnum tractors;
- A low-mounted front windscreen wiper for improved visibility in wet or dusty conditions;
- Cool box with cover on the front end of the steering column;
- New left-hand aluminium steps with high performance LED ingress lighting; and
- Optional hand wash tank.
So far only the new CVT models have been released. New powershift models will be coming soon as well.
For those who do not yet wish to go down the path of emission control nor require the upgraded deluxe or advanced features of the TIER 5 models and unlike a number of competitors, the standard Tier 3 models of the Puma series will still be available for some time yet for the more budget conscious customers.
